Delicious Potato Pound Cake - Easy Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. White Sugar 2 cups
  2. Butter (softened)  1 cup
  3. Cooked and mashed sweet potatoes 2 cups
  4. Eggs 4
  5. Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  6. All purpose flour 3 cups
  7. Baking powder 2 teaspoon
  8. Baking Soda 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Ground Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
  10. Ground Nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Orange Juice 5 teaspoon
  13. Sifted confectioners Sugar 1 cup
  14. Gated Orange zest 2 tablespoon

Delicious Potato Pound Cake – Easy Pound Cake Recipe

Directions:
Get ready Oven and preheat to 350 degree F or 175 degree C. Grease and flour 1 10~12 inch tube pan. Sift together baking powder, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in quantity that instructed in ingredients. Set aside.

Take a large bowl, cream sugar and butter until it get fluffy and light. Add in mashed potatoes and vanilla extract. Blend well by beating. Add in egg, one at a time. Here, we have to add potato mixture to flour mixture and beat soft to combine.

Pour batter into 1 to 12 inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees  in preheated oven about 1 hour 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in this Potato pound cake comes out clear. After that, cool it for 20 minutes in the pan and then on serving plate.

To decorate or to make glaze: Mix confectioners sugar with 3 to 5 (or as you required)  teaspoon orange juice to make drizzling consistency. Sprinkle with orange zest over the cake if desired. And your potato pound cake is ready.
